Dr. Victoria Torres Veterinarian

Dr. Victoria Torres is a 2017 graduate from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year training at LSU Vet School. She is a Pennsylvania native but has enjoyed calling the beautiful city of Savannah, Ga home for the past 4 years. She has strong family ties to Georgia and joined her current hospital, Case Veterinary Hospital, in 2022. Case is a privately owned small animal hospital that has been serving the Savannah community for over 114 years. At the beginning of 2026 she also joined the Coda Pet Care team as an in-home euthanasia veterinarian. At the heart of Dr. Torres’s work is a belief that improving the lives of people begins with caring for the animals they love. Her passion for in-home euthanasia grew from personal experiences with human hospice care, witnessing loved ones pass peacefully at home. She views humane euthanasia as a profound gift—one that offers comfort, dignity, and peace during a pet’s final moments, surrounded by familiar sights, sounds, and loved ones.
Dr. Torres isn’t just a dedicated veterinarian—she’s also a proud advocate for animal rescue & welfare.  Dr Torres helped to form Barkus & Meoux Savannah (BMS), which is a local animal non-profit organization (501c3). BMS is dedicated to helping families facing financial hardship when a pet needs urgent medical care—further reflecting her deep commitment to compassionate, community-centered veterinary care. They aim to help develop & foster programs that promote responsible pet ownership in addition to supporting pets in need. Additionally, she partners with local rescue, Renegade Paws Rescue. As one of their volunteer vets, she hosts a monthly free care clinic for pets/families in need. She is proud to be a part of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Georgia Veterinary Medical Association,  American Animal Hospital Association, and Association of Shelter Veterinarians organizations. She has been nominated this year for Best Vet in Savannah in two different competitions; “Best of the Coastal Empire Community Choice” and “Best of Savannah”. In her free time, she enjoys spending time on her urban farm with all her animals, playing board games with friends, or adventuring through the great outdoors with her wife.
